I've always been fascinated by people—why we think the way we do, why emotions can sometimes take over our lives, and why some people seem to navigate life's challenges with greater peace while others feel overwhelmed by them.

That curiosity became a lifelong journey of learning. Today, as an educator, speaker, coach, and Master of Emotional Fitness®, I help individuals, leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, and organizations develop practical life skills that strengthen self-awareness, emotional steadiness, and self-leadership. Through Mindfit4Life™ Academy, my goal is simple: to help people better understand themselves so they can respond to life with greater clarity, confidence, and inner balance—no matter what life brings.

My approach combines over twenty-five years in education with extensive training in Emotional Fitness®, coaching, communication, and personal development. Every program, workshop, and certification I offer is grounded in practical tools that people can begin using immediately in their everyday lives.

My Story

There was a time when I lost myself.

In 2010, after years of putting everyone else first, I experienced a massive emotional, mental, and physical burnout. I knew I had lost the person I truly was, but I had no idea how to find my way back.

For the next several years, I searched. I read, attended workshops, explored different approaches, and learned a little at a time. Then one day, everything became clear. I realized I had abandoned the joyful young girl I once was in order to become the person I believed others expected me to be. At the same time, I had memorialized the hurt and pain of my past, allowing those memories to replay in my mind day after day. That realization became the turning point in my life.

Over the following years, I committed myself to learning practical tools that helped me better understand myself. I developed greater self-awareness, learned to regulate my emotions, calm my nervous system, and reconnect with my authentic self. Little by little, I stopped reacting to life and began responding to it with greater intention and inner balance.

The final piece of that journey came through my training in Emotional Fitness®. I first enrolled to help myself. I later became an Instructor and, within the past five years, earned the designation of Master of Emotional Fitness® under Warren Redman, former psychotherapist and creator of the internationally recognized 9 Steps to Emotional Fitness®. More importantly than the designation itself, I discovered a structured way of listening to myself with curiosity instead of judgment. It became the most valuable tool in my personal journey.

I had no idea how much I would need it.

During those same years, my husband courageously faced metastatic brain cancer, suffered a stroke, and passed away in December 2024. Walking through caregiving, profound loss, and grief became the greatest test of everything I had learned.

What I discovered is something I now know with certainty.

The tools didn't remove my grief.

They gave me the ability to experience it without losing myself.

Today, I continue to experience life's joys and its sorrows, just like everyone else. The difference is that I no longer believe happiness depends on external circumstances. I have learned that self-awareness, learning to truly listen to ourselves, and having practical tools to regulate our emotions and navigate life's challenges can help us remain grounded, emotionally steady, and deeply authentic—even when life is at its hardest.

That is why I created Mindfit4Life™ Academy.

Not to teach people how to avoid life's challenges...

But to help them develop the practical life skills that allow them to live well, no matter what life brings.

I continue to practice these tools every day, and it would be an honour to share that journey with you.
